THE DREAMSTONE

Somewhere in the universe, a planet is only visible to those who believe in it. The old dream maker, guardian of the most precious and powerful thing in the world - the dream stone lives on the sunny side. Every evening he sends dreams out into the world with it, supported by Albert, his watchdog fish, and two Noops, Rufus and Amberley. On the dark side of the planet resides the huge and terrible Zordrak, Lord of Nightmares, who hatches his evil plans to steal the Dream Stone so that nightmares can rule. Zordrak is protected by his army of Urpneys - led by Sergeant Blob - whose every thought is directed to please their master.

The Dreamstone is a British animated television series that ran for 4 series of 13 episodes each between 1990 and 1995. The original concept and artwork were created by Michael Jupp who would later create another cartoon show Bimble's Bucket. The series was produced by FilmFair as a Central production for ITV. In 1996 Filmfair was bought from the Caspian Group by the Canadian company Cinar, then it became Cookie Jar Entertainment, but then it became part of DHX Media.
