The Mosquito Coast
A family who leaves the United States to seek a new beginning in a remote region of Latin America. The father, a brilliant but unstable inventor, is convinced that the American way of life is doomed and seeks to build a utopia in the jungle. Despite various obstacles and dangers, the family tries to create a new community while navigating cultural differences and personal conflicts. The father's obsession with his vision becomes increasingly harmful and threatens to tear the family apart. In the end, they must decide whether to continue pursuing the dream or abandon it before it destroys them.
